All levels of gardening experience (and inexperience) are welcome in our group. We get our hands dirty each Tuesday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. and on a Saturday morning about once a quarter. Most of the produce goes to the shelter for the Houston Area Women's Center but gardeners can often take some home too.  The garden location is in the MIdtown area of Houston.

U.H.G.U was founded by Charles and Zach in 2009 with the goal of making distributed urban agriculture a reality in the Houston area. We focus on Indoor, Backyard, Greenhouse, and Rooftop hydroponic production. Though crop specialization growers can produce more yield and gain more knowledge about their crop. Growers can then come together as a co-op or business to distribute or sell their produce. We welcome beginners all the way to expert growers.
